Co-Director of Academic Praxis and Cluster Leader of Democracy (from below) in Asia
She is Co-Director of Academic Praxis and Cluster Leader at ARC UI. She also serves as lecturer at the Department of Sociology, University of Indonesia. She has years of experience researching and writing about groups of people who experience socio, political and economic marginalisation. Her doctoral thesis is on the expansion of precarious work tied to the gig economy and its effects on workers’ identity formation and organising propensity in Indonesia. Since then, she has been involved in researches that trace the link between increasing precarity and political identity among labourers across different sectors. She has also recently engaged in research that links climate change with livelihood and labour issues.
