This research investigates the complex pathways linking poverty, land-titling inequality, and deforestation in Indonesia as one of the countries with the highest rates of primary forest loss in the tropics. By examining how economic precarity, resource dependence, and unequal access to land shape decision-making at the household and community levels, the study seeks to generate a more nuanced understanding of the drivers behind forest degradation.
