The dissemination on November 14, 2024 focused on energy transition and extractivism using a whole-systems approach, with presentations from various researchers and discussions on the impact of the mining industry on local communities. Participants also discussed the challenges and opportunities of the energy transition, particularly in the context of mining and its impacts on local communities, and the need for collaboration between trade unions, environmental organizations, and local activists to address the social and environmental impacts of mining. The dissemination ended with reflections on the relationship between local governments and national business elites, and the potential for global, national, and local communities to react to environmental issues.
