Dr. Zulfa Sakhiyya is Assistant Professor at the English Department as well as Head of the Literacy Research Centre of the Faculty of Languages and Arts, State University of Semarang (UNNES). Zulfa is a Senior Research Fellow at Asia Research Centre, Universitas Indonesia, and Deputy Coordinator of the Science and Education working group for the Indonesian Young Academy of Sciences (ALMI). Zulfa is a discourse analyst focusing on how knowledge is produced and represented, and published in the area. Her work has been published in journals such as Gender and Education; Critical Policy Studies; Globalization, Societies and Education, International Journal of Multilingualism; and Pedagogy, Culture and Society. She was a research fellow at the Center for Innovation, Policy and Governance (2019-2021) to assess research policy-nexus in Indonesia, as well as a research fellow (2017-2018) at the Universities in Knowledge Economy (UNIKE) project funded by Marie Curie, European Commission.
