In this project, ARC UI works on the translation and publishing of the Indonesian version of ‘Localisation Power in Indonesia: A Southeast Asia Perspective’ Book by Vedi Hadiz.

For ARC UI, this translation project is part of the intellectual labor process of the 1990s and 2000s generation in Indonesia regarding Indonesia. As Hadiz places the contestation of the local political arena in the broader process of economic globalization in the debate on development issues, we also position our intellectual labor process in the arena of knowledge politics in neoliberal capitalism.
